* Batch size is configurable per destination. Maximum batch size varies by AWS service.
Proxylity billing varies by plan. The Free plan has hard limits (1 Listener, 1M packets/month) and requires no subscription - you will never be charged. To exceed these limits, you must subscribe via AWS Marketplace and choose either pay-as-you-go pricing or the Professional plan. Professional and Enterprise plans are billed as subscriptions in your AWS account. You pay for usage beyond included allowances, including additional Listeners (~$1/month each) and packets passing to and from your configured Destinations. Itemized charges appear on your AWS bill.
No, absolutely not. The Free plan has hard limits of 1 Listener and 1M packets per month. When you reach these limits, the service will stop processing additional traffic rather than charging you. Since there's no AWS Marketplace subscription, billing is impossible. To handle more traffic, you must upgrade to a paid subscription plan.
If you try to create a second Listener or exceed 1M packets in a month, the service will reject the request rather than charge you. You'll need to subscribe to a paid plan via AWS Marketplace to increase your limits. Once subscribed, you can choose between pay-as-you-go pricing or the Professional plan with included allowances.
The number of 1KB or smaller packets delivered to your destination(s), plus the packets generated in response. Packets larger than 1KB count as multiple packets based on their size in KB. For example, a 1.5KB packet counts as 2. Packets are counted each time they are delivered to a destination, so if a listener is configured with multiple destinations each packet will be counted multiple times - once for ingress to each destination, and once for egress of each response generated (if any).
Each Listener incurs a per-hour charge of $0.00139, which amounts to roughly $1 per month. This charge is the same regardless of the configuration of the listener (number of destinations, allowed networks, etc.). Hourly charges are not pro-rated, so if your Listener is present for any period in a given hour you'll be charged the full amount for that hour.
Contracts for pre-paid packet credits can be executed in AWS marketplace. This may be a good option for you if you have a high and steady (or predictable) volume of traffic to your listeners. By pre-purchasing credits you may be able to access tiers with lower per-unit pricing.
Consider this example: If your account handles a steady flow of 100M packets per month you can pay monthly, or purchase credits for a year (1,200M packets) in advance and realize a significant discount:
If you're interested in pre-paid credits, please check the contract offers in AWS Marketplace or contact sales with questions.
Organizations with specialized requirements may contact our sales team regarding the possibility of using a dedicated (single tenant) UDP Gateway stack. Such stacks provide isolated storage and processing, configurable regionality, large numbers of ports, contiguous port ranges, and may be a lower cost option for large traffic volumes.
Our dedicated stacks feature the same functionality, scalability, performance and multi-region durability as the core service. Pricing for dedicated stacks varies significantly based on the configuration, including the number of ports allocated, committed traffic volume, regionality and SLA, but typically starts at $10,000 per month and are purchased as custom offers in the AWS Marketplace.
The Professional plan is designed for smaller workloads with predictable usage patterns. It includes 10 Listeners and 40M packets per month for $49/month, with standard per-packet pricing for overages. The Enterprise plan is optimized for high-volume, continuous workloads with no per-Listener charges and access to batch based pricing, which can be significantly more cost-effective for sustained traffic over 400 packets per second.
Enterprise also includes higher availability SLA, priority support, and the ability to use multiple AWS accounts. Choose Professional if you need more than the Free plan but have moderate usage. Choose Enterprise if you have high continuous traffic volumes or need the enhanced SLA and support.
Consider Enterprise if you have:
Professional is ideal for growing teams with moderate usage (under 10 Listeners, variable packet volumes). Enterprise is for production workloads with predictable high volume and stricter reliability requirements.
